Battery guide: frequently asked questions
How long does a LiFePO4 battery last?
With proper use LiFePO4 cells can deliver thousands of cycles and in many applications a calendar life beyond 10 years. Actual life depends on depth of discharge, temperature and charging habits.
Is a lithium battery safe?
LiFePO4 chemistry is considered one of the safest lithium types thanks to its high thermal stability. Safety also depends on quality cells, a proper BMS and correct charging.
How should I choose a battery?
First determine the voltage and the energy (Wh) you need, then consider current demand, operating environment and charging source. If unsure, you can consult our engineering team.
Does the information in your articles apply to every product?
